We only had a couple of hours for the tour so it didn't seem like a full experience. A visitor could easily take two days to walk the Old Quarter and explore everything. It's one thing to pass by all the historic monuments, buildings and statues but to fully appreciate the history of Panama, you need to go into the buildings, read the information plaques and meet the people.

What struck me as funny was to see such old infrastructure and BMWs and modern sports cars passing by. For a brief moment you feel like you're on a movie set because your surroundings are so old and then you're snapped back to reality when you see the vehicles and technology all around.

There are so many restaurants and bars here that you definitely need to explore the tastes of Panama while in the area.
